Twenty-five-year-old violinist Annie Bender is a graduate of The Juilliard School and the Colburn Conservatory of Music, and has performed across the United States in notable venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Shrine Auditorium, The Aspen Music Festival and School, The New World Symphony Center, Brevard Music Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Hall, The Carson Center, and the American Museum of Natural History.

Annie has appeared as soloist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, the Paducah Symphony, the Brevard Music Center Chamber Orchestra and the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra.  Annie has served as the Concertmaster of the Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Young Artists Symphony Orchestra, the American Youth Symphony, and the Curb Youth Symphony.  As an orchestral musician, Annie has performed with the New World Symphony, The Juilliard Orchestra, the Colburn Orchestra, the Aspen Chamber and Festival Orchestras, the Artosphere Festival Orchestra and Symphony in C.  

As a chamber musician, Annie has performed on the Colburn Chamber Music Society, and her Quartet went on tour performing works by composers who were suppressed by the Nazi Regime, a venture funded by James Conlon's Recovered Voices Initiative.  Annie has also performed with Wild Up contemporary music collective.  Additionally, Annie performed for The Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Awards Ceremony for John Williams' award presentation at The Shrine Auditorium. 

Annie is prizewinner of the Curb Records Competition, the MTNA National Solo Competition, the ASTA National Competition, the Paducah Symphony Competition and the Hilton Head Symphony Concerto Competition. 

Annie is a recent graduate of The Juilliard School, where she was an Irene Diamond Graduate Fellowship Recipient, and a Graduate Teaching Fellowship Recipient.  Annie was also a Teaching Fellowship recipient at the Colburn Conservatory, and she currently maintains a private studio in Franklin, Tennessee.  As an educator, Annie briefly served on faculty at The Masters University in Santa Clarita, CA before relocating to Nashville.  Annie also maintained private violin studios in New York City and Los Angeles, CA.

As a recording artist, Annie has played on orchestral film scores for Netflix and Warner Brothers, and has also appeared on albums for artists including Prince, Judith Hill, and Tyler the Creator.

Annie plays a Forster Violin, c.1780, and lives in Franklin, TN.  When not making music, she enjoys spending time with family, taking boutique fitness classes, being outside,  reading, and experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.
